Paper cup printing is where a cup stops being a commodity and starts being your brand. But the curved, seamed, rim-rolled surface sets rules a flat flyer never had. This guide walks through what you can print, what the surface allows, and how artwork becomes a printed cup without surprises.
Three zones matter: the graphics area where art is welcome, the safety area a few millimetres below the rim (lips touch here - keep it clear), and the seam, where the paper overlaps and any art crossing it will misalign. A die-cut template marks all three; designing on the template is the difference between a clean run and a reprint.

| Option | Best for | Watch out |
| 1-2 colours, one side | Espresso bars, events, first orders | Lowest plate cost; simplest to reorder |
| 2-4 colours, spot coverage | Cafe brands with a mark and a wordmark | Confirm colour matching on kraft bodies |
| Full wrap (up to 6 colours) | Flagship cups, retail-style shelves | Art must respect seam and rim zones |
Plates are a one-time cost per design, so a steady core design amortises them quickly - the reason most cafes print one hero design rather than a new one every season. MOQ starts from 5,000 pcs per design.

The same artwork behaves differently on white and kraft. White bodies render brand colours accurately and suit photographic or multi-colour work. Kraft bodies give a natural, eco-leaning look, but colours sit on a brown base - light inks lose contrast, so we recommend a white or light panel behind fine type. Black and deep-tone bodies pair with white or metallic prints for a premium feel.

1. Send vector artwork (AI, PDF or EPS) or your logo.
2. We return a free die-cut template for your cup size.
3. You approve a digital mock-up within 24 hours.
4. Sampling in about 7-10 days; production 15-25 days after approval.

Full-colour printing is available on select builds. Photos with fine detail suit white bodies; we check feasibility on the mock-up before sampling.
Up to six colours on a full wrap. The colour count affects plate cost, not the MOQ - from 5,000 pcs per design.
Printing is done in FDA- and ISO-certified facilities by our manufacturing partners, with the print kept outside the rim safety area. Quality documents are available with your order.
